Fans unite in praise for Liam Griffin after brilliant Laochra Gael season finale

Fans heaped praise on Liam Griffin last night after the legendary Wexford manager featured on the series finale episode of Laochra Gael.
Griffin famously led the Model County to All-Ireland hurling glory in 1996 and viewers got a trip down memory with last night’s episode on TG4.
He had been inspired by the Rackards and their likes growing up, but Wexford hurling was in dire straits when Griffin took over as senior manager in 1995. It went from bad to worse from the start with heavy defeats and controversy.
