Iowa State picked up a huge win against a scorching hot West Virginia team. 5 players were in double digits led the Cyclones, most notably Ashley Joens with a cool 20 points and 6 rebounds. The Whirlybirds also went 13 of 27 from long range and 14 for 14 from the free throw line. Efficiency.
About Kansas
Not much about the Jayhawks has changed since Bill Fennelly escaped Allen Fieldhouse with a win 2 weeks ago, aside from they have lost 3 more games since then. They’re still last in the Big 12, but they are competing on the back half of the season and at least making games close (sound familiar?). While they might not be winning games, their numbers are climbing the ranks in the Big 12, up to 7th in both points per game and points allowed per game. KU can sneak up and steal a win, they won’t roll over and die.
