A preliminary report released last week detailed the EF-0 tornadoes that appear to have been on the ground the longest on May 4.
In Joelton, which borders Cheatham and Davidson counties, a tornado was on the ground for 4.9 miles andwith estimated peak winds at 80 mph, the preliminary report showed.
It touched down at 5:52 a.m. near Cotton Harris Road near the county line and stayed on the ground for five minutes before lifting east of Ridgewood Road. It was 50 yards wide and left behind tree damage, including a few that were uprooted, the report said.
