ArenaFan Originals - Garcia adds another record

Wednesday July 18, 2012  When San Antonio Talons QB Aaron Garcia took the field last Friday night against the Arizona Rattlers, he added another record to his illustrious AFL career - most regular season games played.   Garcia, the league s all-time leader in all passing categories, appeared in his 208th regular season game breaking a tie with former Tampa Bay Storm WR/LB Lawrence Samuels for the most in AFL history. The reigning AFL Offensive Player of the Year and ArenaBowl MVP was under center for his 206th start (extending his AFL record).   The win improved Garcia s record as a starter to 128-78 in the regular season. His 128 wins are the most in AFL history by a starting QB (San Jose s Mark Grieb is second with 115). Here s a look at Garcia s season-by-season games started and record as confirmed by The StatGuys, the AFL s official statistical provider.

ArenaFan Originals - Breaking it Down - 2010 Week Five

·      Dallas, Cleveland and Utah each got their first victories of the season. ·      Milwaukee lost its first game of the year. ·      The top three scoring teams all lost this week (Milwaukee, Tulsa and Spokane). ·      Just three passers went over 300 yards and 14 receivers had at least 100 yards receiving.   ·      Chicago is the last team without a loss (4-0). ·      Orlando is the last team without a win (0-3). ·      The league still hasn’t published a record book. ·      The stats program still stinks and stats are still wrong.   IT’S NEVER BETTER LATE THAN NEVER The AFL posted the stats from Friday night’s game between Bossier-Shreveport and Utah at about 1:00 PM Eastern on Monday. This is the third time in five weeks that the AFL has not published a boxscore or report for a game within 48 hours of the end of the game. Sure most of the boxscores are still wrong, but not having something up is unacceptable,
