Chattanooga Christian couldn’t close the deal with Brentwood Academy on Thursday and will need a win in the Friday “if necessary” to move on to the Final Four of the Division II-AA state championship next week in Murfreesboro.
CCS took the win in the first game 6-5 when Lauren McGill broke a 5-5 tie with a single in the top of the eighth inning, chasing McKenah Beamon home with what would become the winning margin. The Lady Chargers came close to adding more insurance; however they left two runners in scoring position.
