Belmont Police Update on Sex Offender

Officials with the Belmont Police Department recently announced that a registered sex offender has been placed in housing within the village. According to the department’s report, 34-year-old Brian Holzer is living at a residence on South Mound Avenue. In 2017, Holzer was convicted in Lafayette County Court on a charge of possessing child pornography. He is under supervised release through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and must adhere to strict guidelines – including electronic monitoring. Belmont Police remind residents this notice is not intended to cause fear – but rather that an informed public is a safer public.
