Harvey Mast, the founder and owner of Harvey’s Market, a growing produce stand on state Route 39 between Nashville and Millersburg, shared the story of the remarkable growth of his business with members of the Rotary Club of Loudonville on March 25.
Mast had a unique experience in his teen years. After growing up in Killbuck as part of a 12-member conservative Mennonite family, when he was 13 his dad pulled up stakes and moved the family first to West Virginia, and then, when he was 15, to Paraguay in South America. In Killbuck, the family ran a small farm market.
