Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed attorney Richard Komando to the St. Johns River State College District board of trustees. A former assistant state attorney in the 4th Judicial Circuit, Komando is a partner at Bradley, Garrison & Komando in Orange Park. Komando’s volunteer service includes First Coast Healing Hands, Project Cold Case, Florida’s Children First and the Jacksonville Victims Assistance Advisory Council. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University and his law degree from Loyola University of New Orleans. His appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Jack Terzian, who grew up in St. Katharine of Siena Parish in Wayne, describes his acoustic-rap style as one that “speaks to the truth of human existence” while showing he “(believes) in Jesus.” Yet 23-year-old Terzian said he doesn’t label himself as a specifically Catholic or even Christian artist.
