Larue: Farmers market features plethora of fresh vegetables, other locally made products

A stroll through a colorful farmers market is good medicine for any soul. One of the most convenient for me is the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market. There are several in the Lubbock area, but if you don’t have one you frequent often, this one is worth getting to.
The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market is located at 19th Street and Buddy Holly Avenue. It is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October. Go early before the best produce sells out.
There is always a wonderful selection of vendors. My favorites sell only local produce and do not treat it with chemicals.
