His body was discovered shortly after his death by his roommates in their off-campus student housing. Foley’s roommates called the police immediately after discovering the body.
UC officials put out a statement saying it was unable to comment on the specifics of Foley’s case, but that it mourns his passing and extends its condolences to his family and friends.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A University of Cincinnati studentâs death is under investigation by the Ohio Department of Health and the Hamilton County Coronerâs Office, according to Coroner Lakshmi Kode Sammarco.
John Foleyâs death comes just one day after the 21-year-old received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, according to cleveland.com.
Foley, who is from the Columbus area, was found Sunday by his roommates, Sammarco says.
