New Fund for Inclusive Recovery to serve Seattle s BIPOC communities, create more equitable region By Becca Savransky, SeattlePI © Gregory Bull
A new effort is being launched in Seattle to direct funds to BIPOC communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus pandemic over the past year.
The initiative called the Fund for Inclusive Recovery is a pooled fund created by the Seattle Foundation and partner funders with a goal to raise $50 million over the next five years. The funds will go toward BIPOC organizations, communities and movements and aim to bring the region together to address the widening inequities placed on BIPOC community members, the Seattle Foundation said in a news release.
