Jewell: JET Going Nowhere Friday, 27th Apr 2012 07:00
Town boss Paul Jewell says midfielder Jay Emmanuel-Thomas will be going absolutely nowhere this summer. The 21-year-old ex-Arsenal man’s form in the second half of the season has attracted the interest of Premier League clubs with scouts from Fulham and QPR regular visitors to Portman Road to catch him in action.
Jewell has received no enquiries regarding any of his players but even if he had, Emmanuel-Thomas would be going nowhere.
“I’ve received no interest at all,” he said. “I keep saying that I don’t think anyone’s got our phone number because no one ever rings me to ask about any of our players. But Jay’s not going anywhere. Absolutely not.

Said Mathie, happy at the opening 3-1 win over Faroes on Saturday: Turkey are one of the best six in Europe and that is an indication of what we will be up against, but the lads are confident and we have a very experienced squad. We ve five or six players who can go right to the top. Robbie Foy, of Liverpool and Ross Wallace, of Celtic were so good in the wide positions yesterday, and I had put them there because of the outstanding form of David Clarkson of Motherwell and Scott Brown of Hibs, who are men at youth level.

Over the last 20 years, there have been two fatal crashes and 15 serious crashes along Weld Pass, south of Blenheim.
But instead of putting the notorious stretch forward for its next round of funding, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) proposed the already completed Ōpaoa River Bridge, its surprise State Highway 6 and State Highway 62 roundabout, and improvements by Picton s new ferry terminal.
