Virus Testing Ramps up at Northern; County Looks Toward Vaccine

New Mexico Governor Michele Lujan Grisham said Monday that New Mexico’s reset was starting to show results in a slowing of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the state.     County Health and Human Services Director Lauren Reichelt said in a phone interview she was not seeing a change in the rate in Rio Arriba County at this point, but there’s been a shift in distribution. Reichelt said that previously upwards of 66 percent of cases were coming from the city, while now it’s only 40 to 50 percent.     “I don’t know if that’s from the numbers in Española going down or everyone else going up,” Reichelt said.
