The board also announced applications are now available for Position 2. According to a press release, the district is especially focused on finding residents from the northern, eastern, and southeastern regions of Whitman County but all applicants will be considered for current and future openings.
Library board members must live within the library district and are not paid. The board is responsible for the governance of the entire district, which includes 14 branch locations throughout Whitman County.
