Rhodes State launches new certificates in medical field

LIMA Officials at Rhodes State College have announced that four new certificate programs will be added to the school’s health sciences curriculum. The new offerings include cardiographic technician, mammography, computed tomography and medical assisting.
The Cardiographic Technician Certificate is a one-semester program designed to prepare students for assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. Technicians will be trained to use a variety of instruments and methods to perform diagnostic procedures such as Holter monitoring, stress testing, and electrocardiography. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Certified Cardiographic Technician exam.
