(WTXL) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating after a 47-year-old man was found dead inside his Lakeland home with apparent injuries. On Sunday, February 21, 2021, the GBI s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the Lakeland Police Department to conduct a death investigation. On Feb. 21, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Lakeland Police Department responded to an apartment at 232 West Main Street to conduct a wellness check. Upon arrival, officers found 47-year-old Rodney Flowers deceased with apparent injuries. According to the report, Flowers’ body was transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine and document his injuries and cause of death. The final results are pending.
