Kaia, the husky
Owners Robyn Moss and Jake Gilmond call loveable Kaia the Queen of Shiba because she’s “unbelievably stubborn and runs rings around us all”, they say. ‘Our favourite local walk is by the Weaver in Winsford. It is so peaceful, and the big stretch of field by the river is great for the dogs to have a play on. They love it down there.’
A FUN challenge has been launched to encourage families to explore the countryside. A collection of photo trails gives parents the chance to look for clues with their children as they follow mapped routes across Winsford and Northwich. Vale Royal School Sport Partnership started running simple but entertaining walks in January and they have proved so popular, 13 different trails have now been developed. The photo trails take in all terrains including pavements, towpaths, bridleways and footpaths and range between one and four miles long. Explore the River Weaver on one of the photo trails
