It’s all in a day’s work for Ed Nathan Mecate, a Hollywood stuntman with local roots.   For the past five years, he flipped, twirled and elbowed his way from Guam to Los Angeles. Then he became an actor, working both as a stuntman and a double. I always wanted to be like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, Mecate said.  Growing up in Dededo, Mecate would practice taekwondo and watch his heroes on TV perform tornado and spinning kicks. As a teenager, he flipped through magazines showcasing martial arts masters and dreamed of calling himself an actor.
