Alarm: Police were summoned to a residence by an activated intruder alarm. A check of the property’s perimeter indicated nothing out of the ordinary. The investigating officer found two garage doors unsecured, though the doorway into the home was locked. All other doors and windows were secure, the officer found.

911 call: An officer went to a condominium community in response to a incomplete 911 call. The officer arrived and check throughout the community’s common areas, though no one approached him or flagged him down for assistance. The office was closed and no employees could be found. The same kind of incomplete 911 call was received and investigated 11 hours later, and no activity was spotted at the scene.

Ranger Lane, Lodge Road closed for culvert work
The Guernsey County Highway Department will close Ranger Lane (Madison Township Road 8773) between Cadiz Road (U.S. 22) and Lodge Road (County Road 78) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, for culvert replacement.
The highway department will also close Lodge Road between Cadiz Road and Ranger Lane from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, for culvert replacement.

The intersection of Ranger Lane (Madison Township Road 8773) and Lodge Road (County Road 78) will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Lodge Road between Cadiz Road (U.S. 22) and Ranger Lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

LILLINGTON Three people have been charged in the shooting death of a Bunnlevel businessman, the Harnett County Sheriff s Office said Thursday.
Charles Edward Bias, 51, of McLean Chapel Church Road in Bunnlevel, was shot to death at his business in the 6800 block of U.S. 401 South in Bunnlevel just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Harnett County Sheriff s Office news release. He was found with what deputies say appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds, according to the release.
Courtney Carroll, 31, of the 100 block of Cynthia Lane in Spring Lake, was arrested Wednesday; Jeremy Campbell, 28, of the 100 block of Ranger Lane in Spring Lake and Jordan Issac Nathaniel Stone, 20, of East Blue Street in Saint Pauls, were arrested Thursday, according to a Sheriff s Office news release.
