In conjunction with the 20-year mark since
Anbe (My Love) was released, Malaysian singer Sasi The Don decided to re-record the track and release it in his new album
My Second Wave (out in March).
Since the artiste is now known as the Reggae Ambassador of Asia, the updated
Anbe carries a stronger reggae sound.
According to the singer, the song has garnered the attention of Jamaicans after premiering on Jamaican national TV recently.
Sasi told a Jamaican news outlet: “The reggae and dancehall movement in Malaysia is growing steadily. I m one of the artistes who has been at the forefront of it for over two decades, and I want to create a link between Jamaica and Malaysia with my music.

It was six years ago that Sasi The Don last released a full album. After sharing one single in 2018 (
ABCD) and two new singles last year –
Daddy Don and
My Second Wave on March 20.
“I had my first wave when I got into the music industry about 21 years ago,” he told
StarLifestyle. “It was a whole different type of life that we lived in and today with the new normal, I just want to reset my clock to a new beginning.
The 42-year-old added: “Sasi today is different from Sasi that was 21 years ago. I come with more experience, network and confidence.
