Law & Order: SVU is never exactly filled with laughs, and even the wins for the Special Victims Unit are usually bittersweet at best considering the heinous crimes that generally start each episode. In The Long Arm of the Witness, the good guys actually got a good kind of surprise thanks to a little help from a returning character, and risking their careers ultimately paid off. That said, I should have known as soon as the judge dismissed the deal that let a rapist off easy to sentence him to jail that something bad was going to happen before the end of the hour, and it definitely did with some devastating advice

Edward B. Calhoun, 95, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Chambersburg.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1925, in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, a son of the late William B. and Ethel M. (Richards) Calhoun. He was united in marriage to Vera (Gummo) Calhoun; she preceded him in death Nov. 15, 2020.
He is survived by siblings: Clifford Calhoun, Everett; Levenia Tilley, Silver Springs, Md.; Lucinda Calhoun, Bedford; and Cleive Calhoun, Ellicott City, Md.; and many loving nieces, nephews and their families; stepchildren and their families.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Margaret Buchanan and Clair Calhoun; sisters-in-law, Rita Calhoun and Helen Calhoun; and brothers-in-law, William âBuckâ Buchanan and Richard Tilley.
