(READING, MA- July 21, 2021) – The Town of Reading has partnered with Reading Cooperative Bank to create an emergency fund to aid the victims displaced last week at the General Washington Apartments at 625 Main Street in Reading. Residents must relocate for 90 days due to extensive flood and electrical damage to the building. Through its Charitable Foundation, the bank will collect tax-deductible donations on behalf of the Town to distribute to the residents of the 39 units that have been forced out of their homes until repairs can be done.
