High Command stays relevant with Everlasting Torment
Robert Duguay
Because of COVID-19 obliterating most live music this year, bands and musicians have been finding different ways to let people know they’re still around. Live streams and virtual events have become the popular outlet for musical acts to connect with fans while others have been doing it in a more traditional fashion. There isn’t a more old-fashioned way of signaling to music fans that you’re not going anywhere than with a new record. Worcester thrash metal destroyers High Command did this with the Dec. 4 release of its new 7 record, Everlasting Torment. It’s the band’s second release through the Los Angeles-based label Southern Lord Recordings, which follows up its debut studio album, Beyond The Wall Of Desolation, that came out in September of last year. The record is currently only available through streaming, but the plan is to release it as a vinyl single at some point in the future.
