The mother of four, along with her disabled husband, Shafqat Emmanuel, was arrested for blasphemy in 2013 and sentenced to death in 2014. Despite both being illiterate, the Catholic couple, surnamed Masih , were convicted of sending blasphemous texts in English to Islamic clerics. ....

Lahore High Court on March 1 granted bail to Nabeel Masih, who was 16 years old when he was arrested in 2016 in Bhai Pheru town in Pakistan s Punjab province on a complaint filed by his Muslim friend Akhtar Ali alleging that he had liked and shared a Facebook post which “defamed and disrespected” the Kaaba in Mecca. ....
