The Commerce Commission has published a statement of
preliminary issues relating to an application from Can Plan
Nelson Limited (Can Plan) to acquire certain assets of
Nelmac Limited’s (Nelmac/s) waste collection business,
which trades as Betta Bins. These assets include two Side
Loader trucks, one Rear Loader truck, and pre-paid wheelie
bins, large bins and “pay-as-you go” rubbish bags
currently in circulation. The proposed transaction does not
involve the Betta Bins recycling business.
The
statement outlines the key competition issues that the
Commission considers important in deciding whether or not to
grant clearance to the proposed acquisition.

(BEDFORD) – City of Bedford Offices will be closed Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25, 2020 in observance of the Christmas holiday.
TASC Buses will NOT run on Thursday and Friday.
All Thursday trash routes will be picked up as regularly scheduled on December 24th.
All Thursday Special Assistance/Rear Loader routes will be picked up Monday, December 28th.
All Friday trash routes will be picked up Saturday, December 26th.
All Friday Special Assistance/Rear Loader routes will be picked up Tuesday, December 29th.
The City of Bedford Offices will be closed Thursday, December 31, 2020 and Friday, January 1, 2021 for New Year’s Holiday.
