While some Americans head to Tokyo for the long-awaited Olympics, one Washington teenager will soon be competing for another worldwide title: Fittest Teen on Earth.
Trista Smith is a 15-year-old sophomore at Richland High School and the third fittest teen in the world for her age group,
KIRO 7 says. It s crazy but like I just feel like a normal person, Smith told reporters. Since she was four years old, the student has been training as a gymnast and participating in CrossFit, a high-intensity fitness regimen and a branded company. For Smith, CrossFit is a lifestyle.

Congressman Jason Smith is pleased to announce Skyler Todd from Thayer High School as the winner of the 2021 Congressional Art Competition.
Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide art competition to recognize artistic talent in each Congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 students have participated nationwide.Todd will get a chance to travel to Washington, DC to be celebrated at an awards ceremony and view his artwork hanging in the US Capitol, where it will be displayed and viewed by thousands over the next year.
According to emails we ve obtained as well as information from the respective districts, Richland will be, as of Wednesday morning, offering different vaccination perks related to their graduation ceremonies.
Hanford High School, in an email/news release dated June 1st, will offer 8 tickets to each senior for the vaccinated section, fewer for those family and friends who wish to sit in the non-vaccinated area.
Richland High, also from an information release, will also be utilizing separate vaccinated and non-vaccinated sections. In addition, the school will be using the home and visitors entrances to keep them separated.

This will be the first spaceflight for Barron, who became a NASA astronaut in January 2020 after completing two years of training. She will join NASA astronauts Raja Chari and Tom Marshburn, as the mission’s commander and pilot, respectively, and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Matthias Maurer, who also will serve as a mission specialist.

This will be the third crew rotation mission on SpaceX’s human space transportation system and its fourth flight with astronauts, including the Demo-2 test flight, to the space station through NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
