RICHMOND, Va. Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with this list of events across the area.
The Richmond Kickers play at home on July 3. The kickoff for the game is 6:30 p.m. at City Stadium.
The Richmond Flying Squirrels Fourth of July celebration will be held on July 1, 3, and 4. The fireworks shows at the Diamond will be held at 100 percent capacity.
The City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities will be hosting a modified celebration. A fireworks display will happen on July 4 around 9:15 p.m. at Dogwood Dell. Due to modifications, there will be no entertainment or food vendors prior to the show. No parking zones will be in effect at the Dogwood Dell Amphitheater from noon to 11 p.m. Richmond Police will enforce the following no parking areas from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on July 4:
Lightning Forces Postponement For Lady Red Wolves

The Chattanooga Lady Red Wolves scored early Friday night in their second game of the season but mother nature did not cooperate and the game was eventually postponed due to lightning.
McKenzie Smith scored the lone goal in the 15th minute for the Red Wolves assisted by Hannah Tillet.
The Lady Red Wolves next game will be at Alabama FC on June 4th.
The Red Wolves men s team will host Richmond Kickers on Saturday night at 7 p.m. It will be the fourth USL League One game for the Red Wolves who are 2-0-1 in league play. Richmond is 2-2-1.
Report: Chris Durkin could make move to Serie A’s Spezia

Chris Durkin could be moving from Belgium to Italy this summer. According to a report by Tutto Mercato Web’s Marco Conterio, with further confirmation by The Athletic’s Paul Tenorio, Serie A side Spezia is interested in making a deal for the 21-year-old midfielder.
Can confirm reports out of Italy that Serie A side Spezia is interested in American midfielder Chris Durkin, who played 28 games for Sint-Truiden this season in Belgium.
