6 FORT HOOD, Texas – In the Army, cadre are entrusted to help Soldiers make it through their selected school, course or training opportunity. Cadre are an important part of any training experience, which is why only the best-of-the-best are used at the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command’s newest People First initiative.
“Our cadre were hand selected by their commanders as personnel that live the Army Values, are consummate professionals, display unwavering military bearing and have the discipline to uphold standards,” Green Co. first sergeant, 1st Sgt. Richard Gaines II.
Staff Sgt. Kinney McRae II is the platoon sergeant for the company’s 3rd platoon and has a sense of pride after being hand selected for the position.

FORT HOOD, TX â Soldiers coming to Fort Hood are being greeted in a new way and itâs all part of the people-first initiative.
Soldiers of various ranks that are new to Fort Hood are participating in the new kind of integration process with Green Company at the helm.
Green Company, which was is part of the 13
th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, is doing what they can to make sure soldiers are taken care of and ready to go before reporting to their unit.
The new Green Company for 13th ESC focuses on shaping Soldiers who understand themselves, their tasks, the wide array of resources available and their unitâs history so that when they arrive at their units, they already have the knowledge and resources to be successful.
