The Hollies confirm new Llandudno date for 60th anniversary tour

ONE of the most iconic bands in British music, The Hollies, has confirmed the new date of its Llandudno gig. The British Invasion rockers were due to perform in autumn this year as part of their their 60th anniversary tour. The new date for the Venue Cymru performance is June 12, 2022, when the band, including original guitarist Tony Hicks and six-decade drummer Bobby Elliot, will perform hits such as He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother, The Air That I Breathe and Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress). ‘We felt like this is something no other band gets to do, celebrate six decades together, 60 years of this band and these songs means so much to us and so many others,” said Hicks.

ANNIVERSARY: The Hollies will tour in 2022 to mark 60 years as a band AN iconic British band with a strong East Lancashire connection have announced a rescheduled UK tour to mark their 60th anniversary. The Hollies, featuring Nelson-born guitarist Tony Hicks and Burnley drummer Bobby Elliott, were originally due to tour this autumn but have moved the dates to 2022. “We felt like this is something no other band gets to do, celebrate six decades together, 60 years of this band and these songs means so much to us and so many others,” says Tony Hicks, the band’s original guitar player. Bobby Elliott added: “We’re incredibly excited performing for everyone on what will be some of the most special shows in the history of The Hollies.”
