Deputies said a family’s black Labrador retriever was found with a gunshot wound in the owner’s driveway. Deputies said the owner and a witness reported hearing a gunshot nearby and found the family’s dog lying in the driveway shortly after. Author: Elisabeth Tharp Updated: 10:37 AM CDT May 12, 2021 MONTGOMERY, Texas The incident occurred on March 10 and deputies responded to cruelty to an animal call in the 15000 block of Queen Elizabeth Court.  Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, along with the assistance of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office, filed for and received an arrest warrant for Meier for animal cruelty (non-livestock), which is a third-degree felony, with a $3,000 bond.

Artwork by Llandudno care home residents join New York library s prestigious project

Llandudno care home residents have been busy creating art for The Sketchbook Project at New York’s Brooklyn Art Library. Residents and staff at RMBI Care Co. Home Queen Elizabeth Court in Llandudno have taken part in The Sketchbook Project started in 2006 and currently has over 50,000 sketchbooks from 30,000 different creative people globally. Research has found that art sessions can have a positive effect during unsettling times, which helps to combat mental strain by unleashing the imagination to escape, and be innovative. Residents and staff had fun unleashing their artistic nature by drawing and painting over the past few weeks. Their completed artwork will be included in the Sketchbook Project and will be added to the shelves of a permanent collection at Brooklyn Art Library.

Ant and Dec visit care home

ANT and Dec have paid a surprise visit to a Llandudno care home. Residents at Queen Elizabeth Court, in Llandudno, were delighted when they visited this week. They had expected the television presenters, but instead they got to meet their equidae namesakes. Rescue donkey twins Ant and Dec were brought to the Home by Tom Tuoby of Allwood Donkeys. He rescued them 10 years ago and his daughters named them after their favourite TV presenters. Among the residents was 85 year old Christine Goody. She said: “They looked wonderful. Their visit really lifted everyone’s spirits. I had no idea Ant and Dec were so hairy in real life.” The Home’s Activities Coordinator, Gary Carr, said: “Many of our residents know Ant and Dec from I’m a Celebrity and thought it was hilarious when they were told t the donkeys’ names.”
