The Giants haven’t had too many homegrown players worth keeping around in recent years, but defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson was one of them.
He was a second-round pick in 2017, played for three different coaching staffs and still managed to get better each year, culminating in his best season in 2020. Tomlinson is one of the better run-stopping defensive tackles in the league, an improving pass-rusher and a valued teammate, getting the Giants’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination last season.

An immobile Daniel Jones was under siege on Sunday when his New York Giants were overwhelmed by the Arizona Cardinals, 26-7. Jones and backup Colt McCoy were sacked eight times and pressured on 24 of 32 drop backs (75 percent) on Sunday.
That’s astounding. Haason Reddick had five sacks and and two pressures. Ex-Giant Markus Golden had a sack and five hurries.
Sunday was a huge step backwards for Giants rookie left tackle Andrew Thomas. After straight solid weeks in which he had allowed just one sack, and back-to-back weeks in which he had not allowed a single pressure, Thomas’s performance on Sunday graded out as perhaps his worst of the season, per Pro Football Focus.
