A man was shot and killed in Middletown on Thursday morning, according to authorities.
Middletown police said the man, 52, was arriving for work at Kuusakoski Recycling, when he was shot about 5:50 a.m.
The department said in a news release that he was shot in the parking lot of the facility at 900 Wheeler Way, which is an industrial area off Route 213 between South Flower Mill and Woodbourne roads.
When police arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Co-workers were helping him when officers showed up, according to the release.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending family notification, police said.
