ONCE upon a time there was a glaikit Scottish elf called Hari who worked for Santa Claus in his Lapland retreat. One day, during a tea break, he took the North Star out of the Star Bag and, alongside his deer friends Prancer, Dancer and Vixen, he proceeded to play football with it. The problem was, reindeer are really good at football (what with having four legs and all), and they booted the North Star off the planet and into a supermassive black hole. With no North Star to guide him, Santa won’t be able to deliver his presents to the world’s children!

Clare Grogan and Colin McCredie in Pitlochry Festival Theatre s Christmas filmed production of The Magic of Christmas
Michael Alexander speaks to singer and actress Clare Grogan and former Taggart star Colin McCredie about the impact of Covid-19 on the arts as they play the lead roles in Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s Covid-busting filmed production, The Magic of Christmas.
They did five episodes together of STV gameshow Win, Lose or Draw in the late 1990s, appeared together on Alex Norton’s episode of This Is Your Life in 2003, worked at separate times on gritty detective drama Taggart, and, in real life, have even been known to hang out together at concerts in Glasgow.
