Mumbai: To commemorate International Widow’s Day recently, as a token of support and on humanitarian grounds, Tanuja Kansal, president of Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (WRWWO) provided financial assistance to the widows of the WR’s employees who lost their lives while performing their duty. Kansal handed over Rs 5,000 each to 12 widows of WR’s Group ‘D’ employees, who lost their life while on duty in 2020-21. “It has been a great loss to the family, and the organization. As a mark of solidarity, WRWWO decided to provide financial assistance to widows,” she said. tnn
