May 21 2021, 4:45 pm | BY Ricki Green | No Comments The winners of the 42nd annual AWARD Awards were announced this afternoon at a live-streamed virtual ceremony celebrating the most outstanding creative advertising in the Asia Pacific region. CHE Proximity has been named Agency Network of the Year; Revolver has taken out Production Company of the Year and NRMA won Marketing Team of the Year.
A total of 58 Gold pencils were awarded across 25 different campaigns, with a further 58 Silver and 117 Bronze pencils awarded. CHE Proximity, which took home eight Gold pencils – four each for its First Saturday and Where Babies Come From campaigns – was crowned Agency Network of the Year. This is the first time this award has been handed out in its new form following a major overhaul of the AWARD Awards in 2020 which repositioned the Network of the Year category to recognise specific agency brands instead of holding companies as in past years. ....

With 11 nominations, The Monkeys received two nods in the Mumbrella Award for Insight, TV Ad of the Year and Social Idea of the Year categories, as well as nominations in Best Use of Real-Time Marketing, Creative Agency of the Year and Ad Campaign of the Year. Meanwhile, Special Group earned ten nominations across categories including TV Ad of the Year, Content Marketing Strategy of the Year, Social Idea of the Year, Best Use of Real-Time Marketing, and the Mumbrella Awards for Bravery, Insight and Innovation. ....
Dave Hughes to host 2021 Siren Awards as finalists announced 2DayFM Breakfast co-host Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes will host the 2021 Siren Awards, which will be held in Sydney on June 3. The awards, now in their 17th year, aim to recognise the best radio ad or campaign of the year. Finalists this year include radio campaigns coming out of creative agencies BMF, M&C Saatchi, Showpony Advertising, whiteGREY, Wunderman Thompson, Eardrum, Isobar Australia and Rare, for work across brands including ALDI Australia, Tourism Tasmania, Baiada (Lilydale/Steggles), the South Australian Department of Human Services, ING Bank Australia and Project Ningaloo. In the craft category, Bang Bang Studios, Cue Sound, Rumble Studios, Seeingsounds, Squeak E. Clean Studios and We Love Jam Studios are up for the award. ....
