Meet the man who spent 12 years in jail for a crime he didn t commit
Imagine being sent to prison for 12 years for a crime that you didn t commit.
That is exactly what happened to Raphael Rowe in March 1990 when he was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for murder and aggravated robbery.
Rowe was eventually acquitted and released on 17 July 2000.
Many people would have held a grudge following this ordeal, but not Rowe.
He went on to become a successful journalist who worked for the BBC on various platforms.
Raphael is also known as the host of the Netflix show Inside the world s toughest prisons having hosted the show from the second season.
