Local Health Department Offering Walk-In Option for COVID-19 Vaccinations at State Farm Operations Center Apr 28, 2021 at 12:24 pm by WGNS Rutherford County, TN The Rutherford County Health Department announced today it is offering walk-in options for individuals to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  Appointments are highly encouraged but not required. The Rutherford County Health Department will begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations this Wednesday to those who drive-up without appointments Monday- Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at State Farm Operations Center 2500 Memorial Boulevard Murfreesboro, TN. “We are excited to offer options for community members who might not be able to sign up online for an appointment.” said Rutherford County Health Director LaShan Dixon. “We hope to remove any barriers that limit residents aged 16 and older who choose to being vaccinated.”

Around 800 Murfreesboro City Schools educators and staff filtered in and out of Salem Elementary Friday for their first dose  of the COVID-19 vaccine, with help from the Rutherford County Health Department. LaShan Dixon Named Health Department Director

(MURFREESBORO)  County Mayor Bill Ketron announced that LaShan Dixon has been named the director of the Rutherford County Health Department. She had been serving as interim director since the unexpected death of Director Dana Garrett last October. Garrett had been in that position for around 20-years. Prior to being the interim director,  Dixon was the assistant director for the Rutherford County Health Department. She is an MTSU graduate with a bachelor's degree and a mas .
