America’s cities are back: bigger, bolder, and packed full of exciting events, new outdoor spaces, and reimagined dining. Check out Cities We Love for inspiration this summer.
Three hundred days of sunshine, low humidity, and no bugs just some of the reasons that metro Denver lives outdoors. Other reasons: more than 150 craft breweries with beer gardens (check out the Denver Beer Trail map to get your bearings), outdoor film venues (try a dive-in movie at the Elitch Gardens water park), and 850 miles of paved bike trails, including the new outdoor art–focused 5280 Trail connecting Denver’s inner-city neighborhoods.

The Keg Mansion Restaurant at 515 Jarvis Street was listed under rentals by London, Ontario based Farhi Holdings Corporation, but the company has since taken the post down.
The price of the rental was not listed and Farhi didn t respond to a request for an interview on the property.
While Farhi had the mansion posted for rent, the description of the property notes that the Property is highly efficient for high rise redevelopment with 250 feet of frontage along Jarvis Street and a depth of 200 feet, and it lists possible development concepts.
On March 11, President Joe Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act, creating relief programs and direct funds for individuals and businesses hit hard by the pandemic. Restaurants were specifically targeted this time (unlike in the CARES Act of 2020), with $28.6 billion allocated to the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. The fund, which will take the form of various-sized grants to chains as well as independent restaurants, comes at a time when the State of Colorado is also looking to make additional money available to small businesses.
On March 10, Governor Jared Polis held a press conference with a bipartisan group of Colorado legislators and business owners to announce that $700 million is being made available for a proposed stimulus package called the Colorado Recovery Plan. Polis said that the money is available in the budget now because last year we were prepared for worse, and officials were expecting greater devastation to the state budget.
Our favorite chefs in Denver and beyond have been hiding out over the past year behind masks and in kitchens turning more to-go meals. But chefs are often the face of restaurants, so it s great to see them in action, even if we have to turn on the TV instead of grabbing a chef s-counter seat to watch the action.
Two Colorado chefs will be coming to your living room to show off their talents one of them tonight. Sarah Cloyd, executive chef at Steuben s Arvada (at 7355 Ralston Road), is dueling celebrity chef Bobby Flay on his Food Network show,
Beat Bobby Flay. Cloyd has been with Steuben s for the past year, but the episode was filmed in late 2019, when she was still working at Euclid Hall (which closed in March 2020).
