Today s Cool School is Youngsville Middle School!
For the past several Friday mornings, members of the Youngsville Middle School band have been sharing their musical talents. They set up outside and play music for the students and parents as they pass through the car line.

It s a great way to end each week and highlight the talented students of the music program. And great way to finish the school year!

12 Lafayette educators named 2021 Teacher Awards finalists

Twelve Lafayette Parish teachers have been named finalists for the 2021 Teacher Awards, presented this year through a partnership between United Way of Acadiana, Lafayette Education Foundation and the Love Our Schools community initiative.
About 750 teachers were nominated for the awards by their students, parents, fellow educators and members of the Lafayette community during a nomination period in April.
Finalists were selected in three categories elementary school, middle school and high school and a top finalist will be chosen in each, to be announced during the virtual awards event hosted live on United Way of Acadiana s Facebook page May 18 at 6 p.m.
