The Central Region Juried Art Exhibition (CRJAE) is on display in our Main Gallery until May 27. Twenty-five pieces were selected to tour the Central Region until the end of October. The tour will continue for the month of June at the Golden Prairie Arts Council in Carman. It will then be on display in Morden at the Pembina Hills Arts Council in July. For the month of August, the tour moves to Holland and will be on display at the Tiger Hills Arts Association. The last stop on the tour is in Winkler for the month of October at Winkler Arts & Culture. The local artists whose pieces are selected to tour are: Levina Cunnigham, Robert Greenlay, Janelle Houle, Kim Malenchak, Andrew Matthews, Fran Pickell, Sandra Proulx, Darlene Vust and Melissa Woods. They are joined by Susan J Crawford-Young, Nicole Delichte, Esther Hildebrand, Barbara Kaminsky, Jean Mackie, Gisele Timmerman and Kathy Wikdahl. I say this every year, but it doesn’t make it any less true: I’ve left a lot on the table this year. So many people stepped up and did incredible things in 2020. There were thousands of people who achieved amazing things, faced the pandemic battle on the front lines, gave back, received awards and impacted lives. I try to do 100 new names every year and not repeat any from previous lists. That said, I’ve still got dozens of names to carry forward to next year. Please stay safe and look after yourself.
