The drinks giant has signed up to sell and distribute Jimmy’s Iced Coffee
Molson Coors is moving into iced coffee, spirits and mixers, with a trio of new distribution deals.
The drinks giant, which embarked last year on a major push outside of its beer heartlands, has signed up to sell and distribute Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, Lixir Drinks and Southwestern Distillery’s Tarquin Gin and Twin Fin Rum brands.
It will distribute Jimmy’s and Lixir to the on and off-trade nationally. Southwestern, meanwhile, it will sell in the UK and western Europe.
Jimmy’s founder Jim Cregan said the deal “gives us at Jimmy’s the chance to reach places, fridges and people we’ve not been able to due to our limited resource as a small business”.
The British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA) has expanded its membership with the addition of JD Wetherspoon, Loungers, the Oakman Group and Drake & Morgan.
The BBPA – whose members account for around 90% of beer brewed in Britain and own around 20,000 of the nation’s pubs – stated that the growth in membership and more than £2bn in supportive measures in the Budget highlighted the value in having a strong voice for the pub and brewing sectors.
It added that the type of organisations that were now joining represented the transformation of the beer and pub sector into a “modern, innovative and forward-looking industry”.

Wetherspoons and three other pub and bar groups have joined the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA), the trade association that represents brewers and pubs.
The BBPA said the four new members – Wetherspoon, Loungers, The Oakman Group and Drake & Morgan – were resentative of “a shift in the beer and pub sector to a modern, innovative and forward-looking industry which the trade association champions”.
Together, the four operators comprise nearly 1100 venues across the UK. The largest, pub company Wetherspoons, was founded in 1979 by Tim Martin and now operates around 900 outlets across the UK. Cafe/bar Loungers operates 146 sites in England and Wales under its Lounge and Cosy Club brands, while Oakman Group has around 27 ‘modern public house’ primarily based in historic buildings. Meanwhile Drake and Morgan comprises 23 cocktail bars and restaurants across London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
