Latest Roy Morgan employment series data shows 1.31 million Australians unemployed in April – down 332,000 on March for an unemployment rate of 9.0%, the lowest since early March 2020 – but the drop was offset by a rise in under-employment which increased 268,000 in April to 9.3%.
