In a first-ever conversation with his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken outlined a series of measures of the new administration aimed at ending the war in Yemen. In a statement issued on Saturday, the Department of State s spokesman Ned Price said: Secretary Blinken and the Foreign Minister discussed regional security, counterterrorism, and cooperation to deter and defend against attacks on the Kingdom. The Secretary outlined several key priorities of the new administration including elevating human rights issues and ending the war in Yemen. GUWAHATI: Assam completed the reforms stipulated by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, under the Ease of Doing Business , with this the state will be granted an additional borrowing permission of Rs 934 crore.
Assam along with four other states have been granted the permission to raise additional Rs.5,034 crore through Open Market Borrowings.
The other states are Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
It needs to be mentioned here with the addition of the four states the total number of states that have undertaken the reforms to facilitate ease of doing business has surged to 12.

PUDUCHERRY: A 43-year-old man from Puducherry was arrested after he made a Facebook post saying he is ready to kill the Prime Minister of India if paid Rs 5 crore.
The man has reportedly been identified as Sathyanandam, a resident of Aryankuppam village, near Puducherry.
Sathyanandam, who is a real estate businessman was arrested on Thursday and produced before a local court which remanded him to judicial custody.

A Florida State University graduate student will appear on ABC’s Shark Tank next week.
Michael Benarde is the winner of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship’s 2020 InNOLEvation Challenge Business Model Competition.
A native of West Palm Beach, Benarde graduated last year from Florida State University with his bachelor’s degree in political science, and he is currently enrolled in FSU’s MBA program in the College of Business.

Florida State University’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship is launching a new online major in the Master of Science program this fall to prepare students to help companies meet the demands of today but not at the expense of tomorrow.
The Master of Science in Entrepreneurship, Social and Sustainable Enterprises will offer graduates an opportunity to learn sustainable practices and good corporate governance, according to Mark McNees, faculty adviser to the program and social entrepreneur in residence at the college.
