RMG worker’s severed body parts recovered in Gazipur, husband held Star Digital Report Star Digital Report
Police have recovered the body of a RMG worker which was cut up into five pieces from three different places in Monipur area of Gazipur Sadar upazila. Her husband was detained in connection with the death.
The body was recovered from places close to Arabi Fashion in Monipur area this morning, said Inspector Nazmul Huda of Joydevpur Police Station.
The deceased, Rehana Akter, used to work at Arabi Fashions and lived with her husband Jewel Ahmed, a fabric trader, police said. Both of them hailed from Gachigati village under Bishwambhar Police Station in Sunamganj and got married after eloping from home.

The Rupnagar canal, located in the city s Mirpur area, will be connected with Turag River, Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor (DNCC) Atiqul Islam said. I want to reach Turag River by boat through Rupnagar canal from the Rupnagar residential area, he told reporters during his visit to the canal today. Some 50-60 workers cleaned the 2km long canal for 15 days, which was filled with garbage, the mayor said.
In order to beautify the 60-ft wide canal and its surrounding areas, trees will be planted on its banks initially and then bicycle lanes and walkways will be developed there, he further said.
