After a six-month stint in Monbulk, pop-up restaurant Enter Via Laundry is laying foundations at a second semi-permanent home. Avani Winery on the Mornington Peninsula will play host to chef-founder Helly Raichura and her regional Indian degustations for two months, starting in August.
Raichura is excited to cook at Avani, founded in Red Hill by winemaker Sashi Singh. Sashi and I share many similarities in our story, she says. We both come from India and migrated to Australia. Bloombox Co will send a lovely bunch to your mates (bulb and all).
The Netherlands is often considered the home of tulips, but did you know we grow these top-notch blooms in Australia? Yep, farms in Monbulk, Victoria, plant lots of bulby beauties, though you don’t have to trek out to the country to enjoy them. If you so desire, flower delivery service Bloombox Co will dig up a colourful bunch and send them across Melbourne and Sydney. If you know a pal who would appreciate a surprise delivery, head over here. Apparently, these tulips stay fresh for longer as they continue growing in their bulb.
