Sign Up Pupils have now finally moved into the new £42 million Lossiemouth High School after building delays caused by the pandemic. The new building was due to open its doors last summer. However, the project has been hit with a series of delays as the pandemic halted construction.

Something went wrong - please try again later. Sign Up Moray Council has revealed it is facing a “substantial” compensation claim due to delays in building the new Lossiemouth High School. Construction on the new £42million complex was halted last year at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Now it has emerged that contractor Balfour Beatty is entitled to claim back any extra costs they incurred as a result of the stoppage.

Sign Up Linkwood Primary School in Elgin has finally opened to children after being delayed for more than two years. The £12.8million buildings were initially due to host their first classes in summer 2018 as part of a new housing development in the south of the town.
