MUNSTER HAVE CONFIRMED that a number of players have signed new contact extensions with the province. The eight senior players to agree new deals are all homegrown talent who have come through the provincial pathway.
Brothers Niall and Rory Scannell, Jack O’Donoghue, Craig Casey, Shane Daly and Calvin Nash have all put pen-to-paper on two-year extensions, while Liam Coombes and Alex McHenry have agreed one-year deals.

Centre Rory Scannell has played for Munster on 138 occasions and has three Ireland caps. The 27-year-old became the first player to win both Munster Academy and Young Player of the Year for his impressive performances during the 2015/16 season.

MUNSTER HOPE TO have Ben Healy back from a shoulder injury in two to four weeks, while Joey Carbery is progressing “really, really well” with his recovery from a long-term ankle issue.
21-year-old out-half Healy will miss this weekend’s pivotal Champions Cup visit to Clermont after suffering the shoulder injury during last Sunday’s win over Harlequins at Thomond Park.
