ANNAPOLIS, Md. Governor Larry Hogan today announced that Maryland’s COVID-19 metrics are among the best in the country as the state continues to carry out one of the nation’s most aggressive vaccination campaigns. Maryland recently saw a 43% drop in new COVID-19 cases over the last week the biggest drop in the country. According to the Centre for Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Diseases, Maryland has the lowest transmission rate in the country, and is the only state in the confirmed ‘decreasing’ category for the rate of spread (0.86).
