Prineville man arrested for multiple drug charges
A Prineville man was arrested last week on Highway 26 for multiple drug charges.
According to authorities, during the last month, the Deschutes County Sheriff s Office Street Crimes Unit had been investigating 56-year-old Travis Perala for the ongoing sales of controlled substances in the tri-county area. On Thursday, July 15, Street Crimes detectives learned Perala was returning to the tri-county area with possible controlled substances in his possession.
Detectives saw Perala traveling on a 2016 Husqvarna MC eastbound on Highway 26 near Prineville. Perala was stopped near milepost 17. A Crook County Sheriff s Office K9, Jett, and his partner, Sgt. Mitch Madden, responded and K9 Jett alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the motorcycle Perala was operating.
