Springfield, IL A grand jury today returned an indictment that charges a Springfield, IL, woman, Amber L. Bolen with fraud in connection with major disaster or emergency benefits available through the Small Business Administration. The indictment alleges that in July 2020, Bolen, of the 1900 block of Gregory Ct., submitted an application for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan for a business, known as amber bolen, which did not exist. The indictment alleges that Bolen made false representations on the loan application including that she owned the business, listed at the same address as her residential address, since 2013; that it was engaged in the transportation industry; and, that the business employed 11 people and had gross revenues of more than $90,000 for the 12 months prior to Jan. 31, 2020. The SBA wired approximately $41,000 in loan proceeds into Bolen s bank account.

Six Arrests Made in Quincy Shootings The ongoing investigation into recent shootings in the city of Quincy has resulted in six arrests on a variety of charges. Quincy Police Wednesday announced the investigation has so far resulted in the arrest of 32 year old Donte Clausell, 32 year old Phillip Mayfield, 24 year old Raquan Taylor, 18 year old Contayvias Haynes and 40 year old Nathaniel McPike, all of Quincy, and 27 year old Leshon Wrencher, address unknown. The charges filed against these six range from reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a gang member and armed violence to possession of meth, aggravated battery and resisting arrest.

Six arrested in connection with recent Quincy shootings

The Quincy Police Department on Wednesday announced the arrests of: • Donte M. Clausell, 32, of 715 Lind, on a federal charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (armed career criminal). Clausell had been free on bond in connection with a July 4 shooting on Ill. 57 in rural Adams County at the time of his arrest. • Phillip C. Mayfield, 32, of 400 S. 16th, on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine between 5 and 15 grams. • Raquan M. Taylor, 24, of 937 Hampshire, on an Illinois Department of Corrections parole warrant, and charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a firearm by a gang member. Police said Taylor is a member of the Black P. Stone gang.
